What is Screen Printing?

Screen printing involves a mesh and stencil. The stencil forms open areas in the mesh that transfer ink onto a chosen material. A squeegee is used on the stencil to force the ink through the mesh on the open areas. Today screen printing is used to transfer images onto clothing, CD's & DVD's, glass, metal, and other materials. Screen printing on clothing roughly accounts for half of all screen printing in the United States.
